Two days ago one of my architecture friends introduced me to this very interesting project in Haiti. A group of artists, architects, engineers, and creatives are working with the people of Haiti to design and build these permanent structures with earth bags and dome architecture. Apparently this super-adobe technique of earth bag architecture is awesome for creating hurricane, flood, and fire resistant structures, it’s inexpensive, uses locally available resources and fosters community involvement.  Check out more here.   –Veronica
