The “Rote Hohl” or “House of Water,” in Germany, is a water treatment plant that also focuses on educating the public about the importance of our water resources. When Molter-Linnemann Architects designed their new facilities, they had the difficult task of creating a space that functioned as a treatment plant as well as a public space.  It’s the same concept as a winery that offers tours, though on a much more industrial scale (and with the added security risks to address).  This challenge produced an amazingly beautiful building.
